What is Junior Lifeguarding?
If a youth wanted to become a lifeguard they would have to wait until they were 15 and take the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course. Junior Lifeguarding is for those who are too young to take the full course but would like to learn lifesaving aquatics skills.
Our summer day-camp is based off of the American Red Cross’s Lifeguarding curriculum. Campers will participate in a number of life-saving scenarios and will learn the value of working as a team. The skills that campers will learn are used every day by lifesaving professionals. In addition Campers will also learn skills that are important for those seeking employment in the aquatics industry. Camp is ten days separated into two weeks, Monday – Friday.
We will build off of advanced swim lesson and swim team skills. After a camper successfully completes the Pre-requisite swim test they will be ready to learn alongside our highly trained aquatics team.
