The Tukwila Pool is over fifty (50) years old, nearing the end of its useful life, and is growing beyond capacity in programs. As a year-round indoor facility, there are ongoing needs and interests for additional aquatic spaces as well as significant health and safety upgrades to continue serving the community.
The Tukwila Pool aims to have a facility that will enhance our ability to better serve the Tukwila community by improving and expanding access to essential aquatic services.

The Sports Facilities Companies
Beginning May 2025, the Tukwila Pool has engaged Sports Facilities Advisory LLC (SFA) to conduct a feasibility analysis related to the potential development of aquatics and recreation facilities on the current site and the exploration of the South Center Business District. The Sports Facilities Companies delivered their final presentation and pro-formas to the Board of Commissioners in February 2026. For more information, click the link here.

King County Aquatics Facilities Grant – Funding (Update)
