Tukwila Pool offers a variety of Certification courses provided by the American Red Cross certified Instructors. Lifeguard courses, Water Safety Instructor, and CPR classes are taught throughout the year.

Earn an American Red Cross Lifeguard certification, valid for 2 years. This class is available to anyone age 15 and up who can pass the prerequisite swim test. The lifeguard course will provide lifelong skills in Lifesaving, and CPR/AED.
Prerequisite test:
- 300 yards of continual free style/breast stroke
- 2 minutes of treading with no arms
- 1 minute 40 second drill (brick retrieval from 12 ft water)
Class fee’s will be reimbursed upon 6 months of continuous employment with the Tukwila Pool.

Earn an American Red Cross Water Safety certification, good for 2 years. This class is available to anyone age 15 and up.
