The Tukwila Pool is over fifty (50) years old, nearing the end of its useful life, and is growing beyond capacity in programs. As a year-round indoor facility, there are ongoing needs and interests for additional aquatic spaces as well as significant health and safety upgrades to continue serving the community.

The Tukwila Pool aims to have a facility that will enhance our ability to better serve the Tukwila community by improving and expanding access to essential aquatic services.

Project Updates (May, 2025)

The Sports Facilities Companies ~

Beginning May 2025, the Tukwila Pool has engaged Sports Facilities Advisory LLC (SFA) to conduct a feasibility analysis related to the potential development of aquatics and recreation facilities on the current site and the exploration of the South Center Business District.

Funding ~

In April 2025, the Tukwila Pool submitted a grant application to the King County Parks Levy Aquatics Facilities Grant, requesting up to $5 million in funding. This highly competitive grant program supports projects that renovate or expand aquatics facilities – or construct new ones – throughout King County.

If awarded, these funds will play a pivitol role in helping us move forward with much-needed upgrades or expansion efforts that will benefit our community for years to come.
