Tukwila Pool Metropolitan Park District today, December 31, 2015, issues a Request for Quotes for the Tukwila Pool Deck & Flooring Project. We are soliciting quotes from interested businesses to help us get a good, durable, safe pool-side and lobby walkway, friendly to wet (and dry) feet. Interested bidders must be on the MRSC Small Works Rosters (www.mrscrosters.org) by the date of the closing of bidding on this project (January 18, 2016) in order to be under consideration for an award of contract. Go to http://mrscrosters.org/businesses/business-membership/ in order to begin the steps to joining MRSC Rosters.
If your business would like to place a bid, or if you are curious about what Tukwila Pool is looking for, the following documents are available for download.
Please expect heavier-than-usual vehicle and foot traffic in the area of South 144th Street by Foster High and Showalter Middle School between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, July 17. Traffic will likely be heavier in the area before and after the event, and the high-school and middle-school parking lots will be at capacity. City officials and police are also on alert.
Swimming pool attendees may see if parking is available at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, just north of Tukwila Pool and the Foster High School stadium. You can walk southward across the fields to the light blue building, Tukwila Pool. Come around to the entrance on the south side.
