Please expect heavier-than-usual vehicle and foot traffic in the area of South 144th Street by Foster High and Showalter Middle School between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, July 17. A community group has rented school facilities to celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, and organizers are expecting a large turnout for the prayer session. Traffic will likely be heavier in the area before and after the event, and the high-school and middle-school parking lots will be at capacity. City officials and police are also on alert.

Swimming pool attendees may see if parking is available at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, just north of Tukwila Pool and the Foster High School stadium. You can walk southward across the fields to the light blue building, Tukwila Pool. Come around to the entrance on the south side.
